Turmeric

Botanical Name: Curcuma longa L.

Family: Zingiberaceae Rhizome

Indian Turmeric, also known as "Indian Saffron" due to its bright yellow color, is regarded as the best in the world. It is available in different quality grades, depending on the region of India where it is grown.

Turmeric is celebrated for its antiseptic and healing properties and is used to add fragrance, color, and aroma to dishes. The turmeric finger, the purest form of turmeric, is utilized in medicines, food, and dyeing processes. It is sourced directly from farmers who cultivate it organically and naturally.

Turmeric oleoresin is used in brine pickles, mayonnaise, relishes, non-alcoholic beverages, gelatins, and dairy products like butter and cheese. Curcumin, extracted from turmeric, serves as a colorant. Additionally, turmeric is used as a dye in the textile industry and in the preparation of medicinal oils, ointments, and poultices. It is known for its stomachic, carminative, tonic, blood purifying, and antiseptic properties, and is also utilized in cosmetics.

We offer both Single Polish and Double Polish Turmeric Finger and Bulbs in varieties such as Alleppey, Rajapuri/Sangli, Salem/Erode, and Nizamabad/Cuddapah Turmeric Finger.
